my first purely aesthetic tattoo and also my biggest piece! i found @/reina.asami's work on instagram and instantly fell in love with their style. a lot of their work centers around japanese culture and specifically japanese american culture. i had such a lovely conversation with them about being mixed and my experiences. we also talked about the irony of honoring our japanese heritage with tattoos haha

my most recent tattoo and maybe one of the most special. my brother and i have been wanting matching tattoos for yeaaaars but couldn't really think of anything to get. our love for pokemon was always something we had in common but he models and can't have anything copyrighted on his body. however, one of his favorite pokemon is ditto and i got the idea to just do its face because you could argue that it's just a smiley haha. so i decided to get just a wobbuffet face to match! what made it special is that we were able to tattoo each other! he did stick and poke for mine and i got to use a machine which was rad.

that's all for now!! i want more so badddd. definitely want a back piece at some point and would also love to get a little shooting star to commemorate making "i don't want to be a magical girl"

new ts2 simblr !

Hello everyone! my name is Elle and i'm a 23 yr old avid sims player. Ts2 was the first sims game I ever played, and my favourite out of all of them. Unfortunately I never got my hands on the ultimate edition when it was free on origin, and I could never get the... other version to work. So I've been stuck in TS4 hell until now! I've been playing the legacy edition like a maniac since it released and I've honestly experienced no issues so far so I'm satisfied lol. I've had ts4 simblrs before, but they've all been abandoned due to me losing interest in the game lmao...

Anyways!!! This is my new sim Leif Bay and I'm going to start a legacy challenge w/ him since I've quite literally never done that in ts2 lol. I usually only exclusively play rotationally with the premades and honestly never really even make my own sims... But I thought it would be fun to try something new. Even though I am not new to the game, I am new to taking screenshots, trying to make things look pretty, and mods more advanced than custom content. So please be patient w/ me if my screenshots look a lil funky for a short while :^) We all gotta learn. If anyone has any advice around camera mods/skyboxes or even just taking screenies in general I'd love to know. Because I am sooooo lost...... hi my brazilian friend!! sorry for the weird question, but recently i discovered that there's a site that shows you the better price of switch games in different regions of the world, and my beforehand knowledge of gaming in brazil is that is pretty much considering a luxury to do so!! but i wanted to buy a game that sadly i can't 🏴‍☠️ and wanted to know if the gaming problem still exists there and if $25.40 brl is a lot or maybe what can a normal person buy with that amount to have a better picture if it's worth it to buy it??

US$ 1 = R$ 5,79 right now and today, so

R$ 25 right now is US$ 4,32. And US$25 right now is R$ 144,67 (because i didn't get what you mean lol)

I bought my The Sims 3 for R$100 back in the days. Any pack for The Sims 4 in Brazil right now is R$159, which is insane to me and makes me laugh out loud, because the lower price for Red Dead Redemption 2 at the moment, is R$107,91. At the PS Store, Cyberpunk 77 is R$124,75.

The only popular game I know that would cost R$25,40 is Stardew Valley, and this is considered a cheap game because of how rich the gameplay is. I bought it and I remember thinking that "wow this should cost WAY more". You could get yourself a good meal here for R$25,40. Now, with US$25,40, you could buy.....

Many interesting and useful stuff, actually! And "frete grátis" means "free shipping!"

I don't think gaming is exactly a luxury. There are many people who can't buy video games (or pcs or consoles, mostly). But I do think the average brazilian can pay for this stuff if they want it enough to save money. The thing is: sometimes it's just not worth it. And the average brazilian is used to pirating everything. The first thing someone asked me when i got my switch was if it was the unlocked version (the hacked version with all the games for free) and then it wasn't, so it was a SHAME that it wasn't. Like if i only lost money by buying the original immaculate version of it lol

But again, many companies fear the brazilians because we will simply find a way to disobey them out of sheer spite. Netflix was literally forbidden to lock one account to a single house only in Brazil because we refused to obey it. We couldn't fight more and it was implemented, so piracy SKYROCKETED. You can easily find any movie you want to torrent here. It's sometimes actually easier than to turn netflix on. It's not different for games. If you got a console or a pc that can run CDs, we have people selling physical pirated copies of your favorite videogame everywhere on the streets for 15 reais. And no they aren't hiding them under their trenchcoats.

There are some movies and series mixed in there too. Also, you can get ports for your games. I used to play a mario game when i was younger on the ps2 👍🏼

sorry if this question is a bit stupid/redundant but im curious how your wir ocs became their own thing in hard times in houston? did they just evolve beyond, did you just want to see how they'd work outside of the wir setting or did you disconnect them from it for another reason? how ocs/aus grow into different ideas and settings is just interesting to me!

Very simply: Me and my friends in a VC went ohh wouldn't it be funny if we made a human AU? Like, how would these characters act if we forced them to be people in a society? And I wanted to be self-indulgent and make characters southern.

And then the madness took me. What I love more than anything is thinking about how and why characters act the way they do. Which I was already doing beforehand but now I was like, wow... their childhoods and the ways that SOCIETY impacts them!!!

So yeah it was a fun little "omg what if" because I like designing human versions of characters that me and my friends got kinda crazy with pretty quickly. However before an actual normal human AU there was a Resident Evil one. Because as a joke I drew @metalpincer's OC kissing a certain character. And then it just kept going.

Classic power of Yes, and- teehee. And at a certain point, my focus with the video game versions became more of an exploration of people existing within a society where their existence is based around a performance and being a product, rather than interacting much with the canonical movie plot. LOL.

I love character studies. I love putting strange dysfunctional people in a mundane situation and seeing them act weird. And most importantly, I LOVE PLAYING BARBIE DOLLS WITH MY FRIENDS!
